J.Lo's wedding wager

(Wednesday June 23, 2004 12:48 AM)

Jennifer Lopez and her new husband Marc Anthony have been offered $100,000 to stay married for 18 months.

Gambling website mybookie.com has offered to put the sum in the hands of a third party if the couple agree. After 18 months, the money would be transferred to a charity of their choice.

A mybookie.com spokesperson said: "We wish them only the best… But given J.Lo's turbulent history in the relationship department, and the massive response from players betting that they won't even make it one year, we decided to offer the challenge."

He added: "I sincerely hope they prove us wrong, because I'm sure the money will go to a great cause."

Filming of Lopez' new movie, "American Darlings", a swing-era musical co-starring Nicole Kidman, has reportedly been delayed, adding to rumours that she is already pregnant with Anthony's child.

Lopez' spokesperson denied the pregnancy, claiming: "She just has a really busy [autumn] coming up. There is no script for the movie as of yet, therefore it could not start in September."

She added: "Jennifer is in talks for two different other movies and is doing preliminary promotion for her third scent."
