Left-Eye Idol
(Monday June 28, 2004 03:37 AM)
The remaining members of TLC are to audition replacements for rapper Left-Eye on a new reality TV show.
T-Boz and Chilli are reported to be working with FOX TV in the US to film the search for a new third member to join the duo for a concert and possible future recordings.
Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes was killed in April 2002 when she apparently lost control of her SUV whilst speeding in Honduras. She died instantly from a head injury.
T-Boz and Chilli, real names Tionne Watkins and Rozonda Thomas, have already completed one album since Left-Eye's death, 2002's "3D", using vocals she had already recorded.
T-Boz has admitted that moving on without Left-Eye is difficult: "We take it video by video and project by project. Lisa isn't here - that's reality. It's not easy to come up with how to incorporate her."
TLC performed what was reported to be their farewell show last summer in New Jersey.
Australian rockers INXS are also using reality TV to find a new member - their search to replace singer Michael Hutchence will be documented in "Rock Star" on CBS next summer.
Details of when the TLC show will be airing are expect to be released later this week.
