Britney's eBay gum

A piece of gum chewed by Britney Spears is being auctioned on eBay.com.

According to the item description: "This is the original gum that Britney spat out in the Sanderson Hotel foyer in London, during her infamous stay at the hotel in February."

News Of The World claimed that she checked into the hotel as Jade Moet and rented two pay-per-view porn films, "Sex Truck" and "Double-D Housewife".

Spears' representatives denied the report and threatened to sue the Sunday tabloid.

Seller britneyspearmint was forced to alter the original item description that read: "For you budding scientists out there, this means Britney's DNA is all over this piece."

EBay has a Human Body and Remains policy that prevents sales of related items.

It now reads: "[The gum] was put into a airtight container and has not been touched since it was inside Britney's mouth."

"It is completely preserved as you can see, with Britney's teeth marks highly visible!"

"This is the chance to own a piece of pop history... right from the mouth of the pop princess herself!"

The item is listed as 'BRITNEY SPEARS used chewing gum' and has received 32 bids. The price is currently £2,150.
