TLC seek singer
(Monday December 20, 2004 04:00 PM)
TLC's T-Boz and Chilli are about to begin a TV search for a new singer.
"R U The Girl with T-Boz and Chilli" will follow the two remaining members of TLC's talent trek for a third performer to appear in concert with them and on a new track.
According to Billboard.com, they are not looking to replace Left-Eye, real name Lisa Lopes, who died in a car crash in Honduras in 2002.
Chilli, real name Rozonda Thomas, told Billboard.com: "Nothing has changed. We're not replacing Lisa. We're not looking for a new member."
"Basically, we are trying to give back to our fans and find one girl and give her a chance of a lifetime, to do one last performance with TLC."
T-Boz, real name Tionne Watkins, added: "We started together and we want to end it together, and that's something that Lisa would have been fond of."
According to UPN.com: "For eight weeks, UPN will be there as T-Boz and Chilli put aspiring performers through a rigorous series of challenges."
The series will culminate in a live two-hour show where the winner will perform with T-Boz and Chilli.
"R U The Girl..." begins filming in early 2005.
