(Wednesday September 27, 2006 03:24 PM)

Morrissey has hinted at a possible collaboration with legendary composer Ennio Morricone, which will be performed at New York's Carnegie Hall.

The former Smiths legend, who worked with with Morricone on his last album, "Ringleader Of The Tormerntors", revealed the news in an online posting.

Speaking about his recent world tour and news of more new shows, Morrissey explained that he had recently been approached by the man behind countless landmark soundtrack pieces.

Speaking to the fansite truetoyou, he said: "For the immediate future I am excited to be asked by Morricone (yes, Morricone) to sing and supply words for one of his musical pieces with a view to presenting this song at Carnegie Hall. Joy, joy, joy."

Morricone supplied string arrangements on "Dear God Please Help Me", from this year's "Ringleader's Of The Tormentors".

Meanwhile, Morrissey has announced five new shows in Germany, which are as follows:

December 2005

12 Frankfurt / Jahrhunderthalle
