Britney 'under investigation'
(Thursday December 07, 2006 12:25 AM)
Britney Spears is to be investigated by Californian social services amid concerns that she is neglecting her children, it has been claimed.
According to reports, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services are concerned about the recent antics of the pop star.
Britney has been pictured across the global media gallivanting from party to party with pop culture socialites such as Paris Hilton.
Apparently the press coverage has alarmed both welfare figures and her parents, following her split with husband Kevin Federline.
Speculation in the American press claims authorities want to speak to Britney about her two children Sean Preston, one, and Jayden James, who is three months old.
A 'source' told the New York Post: "The department has been calling Britney trying to set up a meeting with her, so they can check on Sean Preston and Jayden James."
Mother Lynne is also said to be concerned about her recent behaviour: "She is very disturbed and has been trying to get a hold of Britney, but she can't.
"Her dad is not happy. He told her that she's a grown woman and needs to act like one, and she's been making bad decisions," the source claimed.
