Kelly Rowland hospitalised

Kelly Rowland has been released from hospital in Nigeria after collapsing on-stage over the weekend, it has been confirmed.

The former Destiny's Child star has been playing shows to promote her second solo album, "Ms Kelly", and was performing in Lagos on Sunday.

However, her show at the This Day Music Festival ended abruptly when the singer had to leave the stage after being taken ill.

A statement on Rowland's official website confirms that the collapse was "as a result of dehydration".

The posting explains that she "was taken to an undisclosed Lagos hospital for a check-up and is in good condition at present."
