Ozzy Osbourne hospitalised

Ozzy Osbourne was hospitalised over the weekend and treated for a blood clot, according to reports.

The Black Sabbath and solo rock icon is understood to have been taken unwell after a show in Denver on Saturday, during the annual Ozzfest tour.

There has been no official confirmation on the health problem, although Ozzy's management have confirmed he received medical assistance and is now recovering.

In a statement, they commented: "Ozzy Osbourne had a minor outpatient procedure at Rose Medical Center late last night. He was released early this morning and is doing well."

The star is said to have complained of leg pain throughout Saturday, necessitating surgery on a blood clot after the concert, claimed the American media yesterday.

The next leg of Ozzfest takes place in Kansas City, Missouri, this evening, with Ozzy Osbourne expected to perform.
