Chancellor Brian May

Brian May has been appointed Chancellor at Liverpool John Moores University, taking over from Cherie Blair.
The Queen guitarist will have an ambassadorial role at the establishment, after being awarded an honorary fellowship.
The honour comes after he successfully completed his PhD thesis, years after leaving an Astrophysics course in London to be a musician.
Speaking about the new position, which rewards his contribution to astronomy and services to the understanding of science, May said he was "proud" of the appointment.
"It really doesn't matter how old you are or what stage of your life you are in, it is never, ever too late to start learning.
"I proved that by completing my PhD, 30 years after I started it. As Chancellor, I hope that my personal experiences will act as an inspiration for others."
May is also currently putting the bill together for Nelson Madela's 90th birthday celebrations this summer in Hyde Park, London.
