REM stadium tour

REM will play a series of shows in the UK this summer to mark the release of new album "Accelerate", they have announced.
Michael Stipe and co, who are already confirmed for a one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall in April, have lined-up four stadium gigs.
The mini tour kicks-off in Manchester and also includes dates in Cardiff, Southampton and London.
REM will play:
August 2008
24 Manchester, Lancashire County Cricket Club
25 Cardiff, Millennium Stadium
27 Southampton, Rosebowl
30 London, Twickenham Stadium
As previously reported, the band will also headline T In The Park in Scotland in June and Oxegen in Ireland in July.
"Accelerate" is due for release on March 31.
