Lady In Red singer Chris De Burgh has claimed he can perform miracles.

De Burgh insists he has Jesus-like abilities to heal people.

"I have found myself able to cure people with my hands," the Irish singer told television presenter Gloria Hunniford on her BBC show Heaven And Earth.

"I met someone in the West Indies who was not able to walk. I put my hands on him and he was able to get up."

The 55-year-old songwriter said he tries to keep quiet about his magical ability.

"I know the tabloids will get excited by this so I try to play it down," he said.

According to The Sun, it isn't the first time the ageing star's alleged powers have been in the spotlight.
