Kanye death hoax

Kanye West's girlfriend has reacted angrily to an online hoax which claimed the rapper was dead.

Twitter was overloaded with speculation overnight claiming the rapper had died, topping the trending topic on the site.

However, the claim that he had been killed in a car crash, which also become the biggest search on Google, has since been dismissed.

His partner, Amber Rose, insists the reports are "not funny" and "not true!", insisting: "It's in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic.

"It's totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes...and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous", she said.

As previously reported, West was recently forced to apologise after interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs in New York.
