Jacko "Holy Grail" auction

(Thursday November 19, 2009 05:34 AM)

The "Holy Grail" of Michael Jackson memorabilia will be auctioned this weekend at an estimated value of more than $200,000.

One of his famous white gloves will go under the hammer at the Hard Rock café in New York, alongside a host of other lucrative lots.

The item was worn when the pop superstar debuted the moonwalk at the 1983 Motown 25 TV special.

"There is no question it is the Holy Grail of Michael Jackson", claimed Darren Julien, president and CEO of auctioneers Julien's.

"I have talked to more than 20 very interested serious clients all over the world who will be bidding on the piece and all have expressed interests over $200,000-$300,000", he revealed.

Pieces relating to the likes of David Bowie and The Beatles will also be sold on Saturday.
