50 vs Jay-Z
(Thursday November 26, 2009 01:02 AM)
50 Cent has returned fire in an emerging dispute with Jay-Z, after the rappers crossed swords over album sales.
"Before I Self Destruct", the latest Curtis Jackson effort, is reported to have shifted considerably fewer copies since release than his previous records.
The news prompted his hip-hop rival to have a dig from the stage during his acceptance speech at the American Music Awards.
"Men lie, women lie - numbers don't", he told the crowd at the event in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"He's said that before. I didn't really take that as disrespect. If you wanna be disrespectful, just be disrespectful. Once we start I'm not gonna stop", said Fiddy in response.
"I'll make you aware of that, 'cause I'm not the type of guy that goes away. So if that's the kind of energy we getting ready to go into, then let's do it!", he told US radio.
