It seems Noel Gallagher is happy to part with his money - he offered AC Milan star Paolo Maldini £7.8 million a year to play for his beloved Manchester City.
The 39-year-old Oasis rocker apparently bumped into the fullback whilst drunk at a party and suggested the deal.
He told The Daily Mirror: "I said to him in a drunken ramble if he promised to play for City I would personally give him £150,000 a week."
"My manager rang me to tell me he thought I meant it. I had to say to phone him and say I didn't," he added.
If Noel had gone through with the offer, he would have lost a staggering £25 million in just three years.
Apparently it is not the first time Noel has done some football bargaining - earlier this year he told pal Alessandro Del Piero he wanted him to play for his favourite team.
The World Cup victor said: "I couldn't leave Juventus - I owe them too much."
